Teaching budgeting for kids is a vital tool that you can teach to your children. To teach children budget techniques is to first define what kids budgeting is. This is a calculation and measurement of expected income and expense for a given period of time. A kids budget can be explained more easily to them, it is simply saving money now to spend later.

It is our duty to teach about how a children budget works and how money works in our society. If we start earlier, our kids will understand earlier. We start teaching our kids from the time they start pointing at things (about 9 month’s old) if they are allow to have what they want. The reason is because we are responsible for their well-being. When kids grow to about two years old, they are known for “terrible twos” because tantrums usually get them what they want (if we give in to them) or they have learnt the all important word “NO” from us.

Have you ever watched the excruciating pain of a parent at the shops with their kids? The kids bawling their eyes out and making a scene because they’ve found something that they must have. The parents either just give in and buy the thing the keep them quiet, or they end up putting up a fight and dragging them out of the store.
