A very large number of British residents are current finding themselves in financial difficulties. Often people have become “zombie debtors”, where they only have enough income to pay the interest on their debts, and therefore have no prospect of repaying the principal. Others make the mistake of borrowing more money, and get deeper into debt. If debtors default on payments they may be taken to court by the lender. These actions occur in the county courts, and the judgments handed down are referred to as County Court Judgments (CCJs). Failure to comply with CCJs in the UK can have severe consequences, and they should normally be treated as a high priority for payment.

An insolvency practitioner must be authorised under the 1986 Insolvency Act before they can begin to practice. Once authorised though insolvency practitioners can work on a variety of different types of case which involve a number of different tasks. Insolvency practitioners can work with both individuals and companies depending on an individual case or what the company they work for specialises in.

The UK has a considerable amount of people with high debts and the majority of these people work extremely hard to try and pay back what they owe. There does come a point though when the added interest and charges each month outweigh what the person can afford to pay and at this point they have to consider other options. One of these options is bankruptcy and while many will do all they can to avoid it others believe it is taking the easy way out.

When you are having debt problems, one of the things that it’s a good idea to get debt advice on is County Court Judgements. This is what can be issued against you if you do not keep up with the repayments on your debt and you do not enter in to any other sort of arrangement with your creditors.

Making improvements at home is a really good way to create more space or simply get a much nicer house without having to move. It isn’t possible for most people to simply decide they want home improvements and then pay for them straight away. Most people don’t have a lot of money saved for such a purchase and so instead they might have to use credit to pay. In some cases this is a really good way of affording home improvements.

When a person has a lot of debt to content with it can get very difficult to stay on top of it all. As well as keeping up with lots of monthly payments to multiple creditors they also have to keep track of interest rates which can vary and also try to avoid charges for late payments. Doing all of this while working as well can quickly drain a person and leave them feeling unmotivated. A debt management plan can help a person to stay on top of things and motivate them once again to pay off their debts.
