While previous reports of students feeling higher and higher levels of stress were met with a little bit of resentment from the general population, recent tough times for everyone has made looking upon the student plight with sympathy a little more plausible. A generation expected to earn a post-secondary degree, many students put themselves through the pressure and the stress of applying to college, only to forget that the minute the degree is handed to them, so is a great deal of crippling debt, debt that usually cannot be paid off by the caliber of job that most people fresh out of university are able to land.

How To Give To The SPCA

Saving the lives of overlooked and discarded animals has been the job of the SPCA since it’s inception in 1824. The SPCA had its simple beginnings primarily to prevent the abuse of carriage horses in the days before automobiles in England. Horses were driven through freezing cold winters and stiflingly hot summers, often with little food, water or rest. The carriage drivers were interested only in making as much money as possible, and would beat the horses if they refused to or were unable to pull the carriages.

U.S. Marine’s Donkey ‘Smoke’ Arrives in America Thanks to Intense International Effort

SPCA International (www.spcai.org) announced in May 2011 the arrival of ‘Smoke’ at New York′s JFK International Airport with SPCA international rescue expert Terri Crisp. As required by the USDA, Smoke will be held in quarantine stables near the airport for a brief period before being officially released. The Donkey will then be reunited with Ret. Marine Col.
